Fair Work First Statement

Fair Work First Statement

At Ormlie Community Association, we are proud to support Fair Work First—the Scottish Government’s leading policy to promote fair and inclusive workplace practices. We are committed to embedding the following principles in all areas of our organisation:

  • Effective Employee Voice: We promote open communication, regular team engagement, and supportive supervision. Staff are involved in key decisions and their wellbeing is a priority.
  • Investment in Workforce Development: All staff have access to learning and development opportunities, including training, networking, and support for career progression.
  • No Inappropriate Use of Zero Hour Contracts: Our staff are offered contracts that reflect their needs and circumstances. We do not misuse zero hour arrangements.
  • Tackling the Gender Pay Gap & Promoting Inclusion: We ensure recruitment is based on experience and qualifications and are committed to building a diverse, inclusive workplace.
  • Payment of the Real Living Wage: All our employees are paid the Real Living Wage.
  • Flexible & Family Friendly Working: We support flexible working from day one, considering individual needs and family commitments through open, constructive conversations.

We are dedicated to fostering a positive, fair, and respectful working environment for all.
